Acne Specialists Mandelic 5% Serum
Mandelic Acid Serum 5%: Smoother skin, fewer breakouts, and a more even-looking complexion. Mandelic acid is one of the gentlest exfoliating acids, so it clears pores and fades dark marks with less irritation than stronger acids. Lactic acid adds extra brightening, while hyaluronic acid keeps skin soft and hydrated.
Best for: dry, sensitive, or acne-prone skin, and first-time exfoliators. Gentle enough to use on active breakouts without irritation.
How to Use: After cleansing and toning, apply 1–2 pumps and follow with moisturizer. Start in the evening 2–3 times a week, then gradually build up. Some skin can tolerate twice daily. If using in the morning, always follow with SPF.
Nut allergy caution: mandelic acid is derived from bitter almonds. If you have a tree nut allergy, check with your doctor before using.
The Mandelic Breakdown
Mandelic acid is a naturally brightening, skin-clearing favorite for breakout-prone skin, and its gentle nature makes it easy to build up over time. Here's how our three strengths line up:
Acne Specialists Mandelic 5% Serum: gentle yet highly effective. A perfect starting point for dry, sensitive, combination, or oily skin that's prone to breakouts, and for first-time exfoliators.
Acne Specialists Mandelic 8% Serum: a little more punch. Great for combination to oily skin, and especially helpful for clearing oily buildup.
Stratia Soft Touch AHA (Mandelic 10%): our strongest, balanced with soothing chamomile and aloe. Ideal once your skin is ready for more, and comfortable enough for drier or more mature skin.
